Well…up to the point where I can continue Beyond Reach. There are still lots of fiddly bits to do afterwards.
What has changed?
I changed my grass mod from Verdant to Veydosebrom Regions. It fits better with ENB and provides more variety.
I changed my weather mod from Climates of Tamriel to Vivid Weathers Definitive Edition. I used Vivid for years and cannot recall why I changed to CoT.
I changed my trees and plants from Skyrim Flora Overhaul to Happy Little Trees, and I have utilised many Cathedral plants and Mari’s Flora. Using Base Object Swapper, I have changed many of the Rigmor of Cyrodiil’s trees to better quality Happy Little Trees models.
The Remiel mod eventually decided that Amazing Follower Tweaks was a problem. I tried mods like Nether’s Follower Framework, but I am too used to AFT. So, the Remiel Mod is gone, but Remiel remains. Here is her new look beside the changes to Inigo.

I did not like Felix’s look, so he now has a more elderly Imperial with Nord bloodline appearance. After seeing how handsome it makes Wulf, he now has a beard and long hair.

The Ningheim Race was also causing issues, so Wulf is now an Imperial but will still have Ningheim abilities.

You will notice that beard colours do not match hair colours. That is one of the niggly things I will fix later.

I am now using V6 of Legacy of the Dragonborn.
I am using ENB but am still fiddling with its settings.
DynDOLOD is also being used.
Just about everything is parallax with ENB particles where appropriate.
After the encounter with the griffon, Wulf needed to spend some time away from Evermore. He was in danger of losing control and slaughtering the priests and nobles.
While away, he dragged all the armours he collected in Akavir out of storage and equipped everybody with Blade and Akaviri armour. Everybody uses the identical katana and dai-katana except the dual wielders who use Dasho and Wakizashi. Of course Rigmor has a special dai-katana that matches Wulf’s katana. They all use identical bows except Inigo, Rigmor and Remiel.

The mages wear a variety of kimono. However, no two Knights of The Order of the Dragon wear the same armour. Nearly all armours are identifiable as variants of Blade Armour to any snooping Thalmor scum.

Wulf wants the residents of Evermore to thank The Champion of The Divines and his knights for their salvation. They must realise that The Nine have their interests, not the fake priests. Hopefully, this change will counter the blasphemous adoration of Mados.
After Beyond Reach is complete, the journals will skip ahead several months. Every quest of the vanilla game will have been completed (as a good guy, of course!)
Serana has been recruited along with a Half Breed Tsaesci, a Tang Mo and other unexpected races.
There has been a great upheaval in Akavir, where the journals will resume. Many of Wulf’s friends lost loved ones when The Dragonguard were slaughtered in Akavir. The surviving Dragonguard now live on a small Akaviri island hidden via dweomer, which The Psijic Order provided. The Grandmaster survived the massacre and asked Wulf to investigate a religious sect that may have been the perpetrator. The mod I will be using is enormous, and I have no idea how long it will take to complete its journal entries.
Wulf has purchased many more properties, and some of his friends will now live outside of Aurane. For example, Inigo and Jo’rassa have been gifted Honeyside.
While rebuilding Skyrim, I have also been helping Jim with his updated Rigmor of Cyrodiil map. This map will be released after testing and is a prerequisite for Rigmor of Tamriel. It simply installs over your current RoC.
Here is the entrance to Kvatch. I knew Sir Robere was lying!

Thank you for being so patient.
Looks good. Don’t over work yourself. It takes too long to get back to normal. Put together a trampoline for my grandkids today and they came over to play all day. Felt like I was put through a meat grinder! It was so worth it, seeing and playing with them. Thank You Mark
Great, man. As usual great work and a worth wait.
But explain, please: who’s Remiel without Remiel’s mod and how an Imperial can have Ningheim powers? Is it up to our immagination, right? 🤣
Do not worry about Wulf being Imperial. I figured out the problem with the Ningheim mod and am using it again. I have a program that captures all the conversations from a mod. So I sucked them out of the Remiel mod and can use them if need be. It was that or kill her off…
Great solution. But I don’t worry. Imperials are my favourite race. I see simply that your knowledge on this things is much better than mine. I finally managed to use 200 mods because after deleting the big AI mod and the multiple followers mod who needed too many patches. And now it goes much better. I could even use ordinator. And I am considering using bigger mods.
Thanks Mark and, please. Take your time.
In all honesty, I think that’s what your story needs. The good guys just win too much. Removes all the tension knowing “Wulf and the mighty Dragonguard” will always come out on top. Killing off one of the crew every now and then to show they aren’t an indistructable force would ground things and make your readers wonder who your going to GRRM next.
Slow and steady is my motto when installing mods now. I only have the essential mods I need to run the game the way I like. Still working on having the kids looking normal and not quite like old heads on small bodies, everything else is running great. It had been a while since we had heard from you, glad everything was as normal as it can be.
Oh man. I tried al th3 mods for the kids. They also require patches and that’s a pain..
Abandoned ENB and have used Community Shaders instead. Far less hassle and overhead. I changed my grass back to Verdant as the other one was only needed for ENB. I have RS Children and The Kids are Alright running at the same time. I cannot stand potatoe head kids!
That’s too awesome! I’ve always admired your work, but seldom take the time to say so. You’re also an inspiration to me as you deal with life’s struggles.
It seems life for me has been a rollercoaster since just before RoC Reboot was released. I was helping with testing, then had a motorcycle accident followed by diagnosis of Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS, a rare form of bone marrow cancer). Hundreds of blood transfusions, numerous hospital stays, and a bone marrow transplant later I am finally on the mend and beginning to find some semblance of normalcy. God is good!
I, also, choose variants of Blades armor for my DB and group after finishing RoC in the playthrough; it just seems appropriate.
Keep up the great work!
Glad to here you were challenged and have came through. My experience with cancer survivors amongst family and friends if the value they now place on things they once took for granted.
Remiel worked okay with Nether’s Follower Framework when Skyrim was downgraded, I’m going to find out with the current version. I like her, she had heaps of comments on everything.
Catching up. Vivid weather is a great mod. I have never seen heavy rain so realistic. Have 345 mods, all the latest runing, alternate start, ningheim race, all going well. Thank you for your effort in writing these journals, I’m afraid to ask you how many words now.
Lots!
I can imagine.
