Song: Mine To Master

  • I must control my anger, or I will not control my power,
  • But, dear Divines, it grows more difficult by the hour.
  • I am tempted to end the enemy in a rain of dragonfire,
  • And turn this Whiterun plain into a vast funeral pyre.
  • My parents warned me never to hate, but I will not pretend.
  • I think of what Tilar did to Rigmor and wish him a painful end.
  • Perhaps the scars he left in her flesh and soul might slowly fade
  • But will my anger lessen if I swiftly kill him with my blade?
  • I must control my rage, or lose the clarity to plan.
  • I must command the battle from here, not charge into the fray.
  • I must let the combined army I lead win the battle today.
  • I cannot let my inner dragon conduct this war its way.
  • But Talos, my father, Tilar Aedriath, is a mortal I despise.
  • He planned to take the Empire and Rigmor as his prize.
  • The Ruby Throne, The Nine, and my people he plotted to despoil;
  • The summoning of Malacath was the last of his schemes I foiled.
  • I must control my fury, or forsake all you have taught.
  • I know violent vengeance cannot heal the harm that he has wrought.
  • Dear Divines, his army will fall beneath our steel and arrows this time,
  • And his dark soul will never leave its stain upon mine.
  • My armour glistens in the rain, my katana burns red in my hand.
  • My army waits like an eager hound, awaiting my command.
  • The New Order will answer for all the death and suffering this day,
  • But I shall conduct this battle with restraint, and not my dragon’s way.
  • So let the dragon rage within me. I shall keep it in its cage.
  • Let soldiers win this battle, not the violence I could wage.
  • I will lead this army forward; I will not surrender to hate.
  • Tylar will face me when his time comes, and I shall choose his fate.
  • My anger is mine to master. My power is mine to command.
  • I will not burn an army merely because I know I can.
  • The Divines need give no answer. I know where I must stand.
  • I will raise my sword, face The New Order, and give the command to advance!

  1. Yes Mark, ” Absolute Power, Corrupts Absolutely “. Even the lowest Squad Leader has the Power of Life and Death. When we lose our Morale Imperative, we lose Ourselves.

    Cheers to another excellent composition!
