SONG: The Ten Commands Of The Nine Divines

Emperor Valdr Septim and his adopted daughter, Olette Dartwing, sing together.

They perform in front the Ruby Throne.

  • Gather ye round, from mountains to shore,
  • Hear now the wisdom, the sacred law.
  • Ten commands, from Divines so bright,
  • To guide mortal hearts in darkness and light.
  • So walk with The Nine, in your heart, in your hand,
  • Let virtue and kindness be law of the land.
  • The Divines speak as one, from below and above:
  • Be good to each other, in honor and love.
  • Stendarr the Merciful, shield of the meek,
  • His light shines upon the lost, weary and weak.
  • Be gentle, be kind, let your charity grow,
  • From the hands of the healers let mercy bestow.
  • Arkay the Keeper, of life and the grave,
  • He watches the spirits, the bold and the brave.
  • Respect all that lives, and honor the dead,
  • Where Arkay has walked, let no soul dread.
  • Mara the Mother, of love ever true,
  • She blesses the hearth with her nurturing view.
  • Honor your kin, let your household be peace,
  • With Mara’s warm grace, may all sorrows cease.
  • Zenithar the Provider, of labour and gain,
  • His coin is well-earned, not taken in vain.
  • Work with your hands, let your dealings be fair,
  • For Zenithar’s blessing rewards those who care.
  • Talos the Mighty, of courage and fame,
  • The mortal hero, now a god in acclaim.
  • Stand brave in the storm, let no evil pass,
  • With Talos beside you, strike true and hold fast.
  • Kynareth the Gentle, the breeze and the rain,
  • She dances through forests and sings in the plain.
  • Take only your share, let her balance be known,
  • For Kynareth’s wrath is a storm fully grown.
  • Julianos the Wise, the scroll and the word,
  • The keeper of truths yet spoken or heard.
  • Seek knowledge with care, let wisdom arise,
  • For Julianos guides where truth lies.
  • Dibella the Fair, of beauty and grace,
  • She touches the soul in each lover’s embrace.
  • Find joy in the art, in the kiss and the flame,
  • For Dibella brings passion to the mortal domain.
  • Akatosh the Dragon, the father of time,
  • His order is law, eternal, sublime.
  • Serve with your honor, stay loyal and just,
  • For Akatosh favours those he can trust.
  • So walk with The Nine, in your heart, in your hand,
  • Let virtue and kindness be law of the land.
  • The Divines speak as one, from below and above:
  • Be good to each other, in honor and love.
  • Carry the words of the Nine,
  • and may their light guide thee always.

  1. I actually liked this one much better than Last Seen Online because music and lyrics were a better fit. Okay, so I like Celtic ballads… well, ballads in general. LOL I’m not so good with fast pop songs unless they’re very unique.
