All will be revealed…soon…

I have made a radical change to my Skyrim build and it is taking a bit of time to get it stable.

I am also testing BETA software for Jim and others.

This song will give you some idea of what is happening in Bruma during Wulf’s absence.

A woman in a green cloak stands on a balcony, gazing into the night sky with a full moon above, while two heart-shaped rings in black and gold are displayed in the foreground against a cityscape backdrop.

They tell me I have waited long enough and that I must turn my eyes to tomorrow.
But how do you move forward when your heart still listens for a voice the gods cannot find?
The rings gifted by Lady Mara still hum softly, as if your soul is only just beyond reach.
If confirmed you walk another path, another world, another time, I will not despair.
For Lady Mara said our souls are one and even should the kalpa break, I will wait.
We will meet again.

The snow falls on Bruma’s gate,
As I stand and watch the sunset.
They say a year’s a seemly wait,
But my heart won’t surrender yet.

Your armour lies beside the bed,
The scrolls still whisper your name.
I dream of the words we said,
Before the world shifted again.

They know what the Divines foretold,
They’ve seen the tears I’ve tried to hide.
Yet still they urge me to let you go,
For duty’s voice won’t be denied.

My mother speaks of heirs and lines,
Of duty, legacy, and peace.
But how can vows be redrawn by time,
When Mara said our souls entwine?

Each night I press your ring to mine,
A gift from Mara, it still hums true.
If you died — no matter where or time
Wouldn’t my soul have followed too?

They say I should yield, that the future calls,
That my duty outweighs my pain.
But I gave my word before this shadow fell,
And I’ll wait till you rise again.

I promised I’d wait when you crossed the planes,
Even when the sky turned grey.
But now your silence is endless rain,
And I’m drowning in the words I can’t say.

The world keeps asking me to choose,
Between a crown and what I’ve lost.
But every answer feels like news,
Of a heart that’s paid too high a cost.

How long do I wait in this endless dawn,
For a soul that might not return?
Is it a case of love forlorn,
Or simply faith that dares to burn?

I see you in the flame’s reflection,
Hear you in the temple’s song.
If Mara was right about our connection,
How could eternity be wrong?

They say even legends fade with years,
That time will wear the heart away.
But gods have seen and speak in awe,
Of a love that even kalpa can’t decay.

And if you wake in another dawn,
Where the sky or the stars have changed,
I’ll still be waiting through ages gone,
Till our souls meet again.

Mara’s rings still hum true…
and I will continue waiting for you.

  1. Brilliant, Touching, and Heart Breaking Mark. This composition brings to mind the research I have been doing this summer into lesser known Battlefield Actions; ( Small Unit Actions, a Company, or less in size ).

Starting with the Middle Ages, through 1812, WW1, WW2, even into more Modern Times. The endless Sacrifice of Man for his Country, Kingdom, and Family, will never be fully known, or fully documented.

Many of these ” Undocumented ” Actions make the stand of Roland in 778 at Roncevaux Pass, pale in comparison. Most suffered horrendous casualties, if any survived at all.

    Regardless?

    Another excellent presentation Mark!

    1. Mt wife’s family did not know their father had been adopted. He knew but never told them. It was only when I started researching their family tree did I uncover the truth. But it was an unofficial adoption so there were no adoption papers. Through years of research we had an idea of the surname of my wife’s grandfather but that was all. Then we had a DNA breakthrough and from there, I managed to find his name. Private John Melrose Porter. Then I discovered he died as a prisoner of the Japanese during WWII. When I read about what happened to him and his comrades, I cried. Search for Gull Force. Since WWII there has been a lot of research done and the lies post war have been eliminated. A tiny bit of a world conflict that now touches my heart and that of my wife.

      1. History talks a lot about the Nuremburg War Trials, and the administration of Justice. With Imperial Japan? There were a lot of ” Backroom Deals ” that I do not agree with Mark.

Allied POWs, along with captured Chinese Nationals, were the subjects of terrible biological experiments conducted by the notorious ” Unit 731 “. Many of these ” scientists were spirted away by the OSS, and other Allied Intel. Many Japanese ” Nobles ” guilty of War Crimes, were given a pass due to ” Economic ” reasons as well.

There can be no exceptions when it comes to these types of atrocities.

  2. Most of Australia’s troops were in Europe and Africa. Defense against the Japanese was hastily organised and Gull Force was formed. They were to aid the Dutch and local militia in the defense of Indonesia. The Government and military command were told many times it was an impossible task. Their solution? Remove the respected commander who the troops trusted and replace him with a pen pusher with no field experience. The Dutch, Australians and militia fought bravely but they were outnumbered twenty to one and had no air or artillery support. Three hundred Australian’s were executed by katana. Japanese troops who had not even fought the battle wanted revenge for the sinking of a troop transport that had nothing to do with Gull Force. They lined up hundreds of Australian’s and beheaded or bayoneted them. The Australian’s sent to POW camps were brutalized. Only a few Japanese were help responsible and executed. Yet those who partook in the beheading and bayoneting, almost a single kill per soldier, were never held responsible.

    1. “War, war never changes. In the year 1945, my great-great grandfather, serving in the army, wondered when he’d get to go home to his wife and the son he’d never seen. He got his wish when the U.S. ended WWII by dropping an atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The world awaited Armageddon. Instead, something miraculous happened. We began to use atomic energy as a nearly limitless source of power. People enjoyed luxury once thought in the realm of science fiction. Domestic robots, fusion powered cars, portable computers. Then, in the 21st century, people awoke from the American dream. Years of consumption led to shortages of every major resource. The entire world unraveled. Peace became a distant memory. It is now the year 2077, and we stand on the brink of total war. And I am afraid. For myself, for my wife, for my infant son. Because if my time in the army taught me one thing, it’s that war…war never changes.”

Just thought I’d put in this quote from the video game Fallout 4. War is always horrible, and as far as I can tell, many atrocities are committed against weaker victims the moment people believe they can get away with it. I suppose the only thing we can do is look inside ourselves and hope we can cleanse our own souls of the monstrosities within.

      1. Great quote but always sad, as we say. Some government say they fight for religion or democracy but behave worst than those they say they fight against.
It’s not about who’s better or strongest, though, it is about when we, poor guys, will end up caught in the middle of that.
Still, my sympathies to those who remained.
        😓

      2. Sometimes Peter, I think the Fiction Writers, and Game Content Developers, are trying to warn us.

        Cheers!

    2. 100% correct Mark, and that failed engagement directly mirrors the fall of Indonesia to a Marxist Caliphate, after the Dutch/Indo War.

Indonesia, who sends out the ” Religious Police ” to arrest young couples for the crime of ” Holding Hands ” in public.

Australian Troops fought in Malaya, Singapore, Papua, New Britain, Bougainville, Borneo, and of course, the defense of Darwin.

There is also Attack Force Z, which was instrumental in the outcome of the War Mark.

Australia’s Service and Sacrifice in the Pacific Theater, was highly significant.

      1. I really feel your point man but people should stop demonyising socialism inspired countries. Religion, capitalism, comunism are all failed and unsustainable ideas. We are all sisters and brothers under the Moon. We should start over from that. Law can help that, npt anger, not fear, not the stupid need for resources.

      2. If you look at Australia’s, and New Zealand’s, contributions in both World Wars, they contributed weigh above their minute populations would suggest. Every Australian who fought in WWI was a volunteer. The combined force tactics of tank, artillery and infantry were developed by Sir John Monash when he was tired of the British wasting lives, and equipment. The Germans called it Blitzkrieg. Ironic that Sir John Monash was of the Jewish faith. My sister’s father-in-law was a member of Attack Force Z. He couldn’t say anything about it till decades after the war. By then he was an alcoholic and still had flashbacks of what he saw when liberating POW camps. My maternal grandfather was discharged from the Royal Engineers after a few months on the front lines. He was never the same, but unlike Australia, it is very difficult to get British service records and I have no idea what he encountered.

  3. Dario, what do you mean by ” Socialism inspired Countries “? Indonesia is a Marxist, Islamic, Caliphate. It operates under strict Sharia Law. There is no Freedom of Speech, Freedom to Assemble, or personal Freedoms to speak of. I am not aware of any coveted ” Resources ” as well, in Indonesia.

Japan remained in control of the Country until the end of the War in 1945. Millions of Citizens died as ” Forced Labor “, as well as all the Women stolen to ” Service ” the Imperial Army.

To your other point? Capitalism, and the Free Market, is not a failed Construct.

    1. When you say marxist, it is comunism and comunism comes from Socialism to simply puy it. If you add comunism to califate or to catholicism, it is litteraly anthitesis!!

      1. My counter, is your pass for ” Socialism Inspired Countries “. My description of Indonesia, is exactly how Indonesia is Governed. I did not dispute or argue, the sub-stacks regarding Marxism, Communism, Socialism, Leninism, or any other Communist type Construct.

It also seems you are disputing the Lands of David and Solomon? Judea was invaded by, and conquered by Rome. After the Second Jewish Uprising, Rome changed Judea to Syria Palaestina, incorporating Judea, Samaria, and Galilee.

It sounds like you are disputing the Israelite Kingdoms, and the Kingdom of Judah Dario. Jews have been in Palestine for over a millennia.

        Are you disputing this?

      2. Indonesia is an Islamic Caliphate, that operates as a Communist System of Government, adhering to strict Sharia Law.

What do you not understand about that?

Ethiopia is exactly the same, and caused the 1980s Famine by instituting Communal Soviet Policies, that caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands. All involved, including Tedros, were never prosecuted.

        What eludes you Dario?

        These are irrefutable facts.

      3. Bible is a complicated and incoherent religious book exactly like Qu’ran and Veda ones. I respect them but I don’t side and Peter, talking about Salomon and the king of Judea is religion. not history.
This doesn’t exclude that the Shoah or the Nakbah are very similary bloody events like thousands in History. Exactly like the Irish bloedy Sunday perpetuated by the British army or all the massacres they did in History, starting in India and finishing in PALESTINE.
Regarding the Free Market; it was not invented in the Eighteenth century but is a very old construct that arrives o us directly from the Roman times and changed continuosly during centurys but had its apex in Ansa’s fifteenth/sixteenth centuries.
Capitalism, especially contemporary one, is an corruption of the liberalism or, as you call it “Free Market”, which is a respectful part of World Society. This is an historical fact, not Dario’s opinion.
If Indonesia, Mark, is a marxist country and a caliphate together is either a complicated religious abomination or a propagandistic idea. U.s propaganda or Russian? I have no idea. I consider these two political systems similar and I don’t side, they are both regimes. Or corrupted evolution of good old ideas.
And also, Mark, your tone was very rude and I don’t appreciate it.
Keep talking about fantasy, Bethesda’s or other’s, I leave you to it.
        Good life y’all.

    2. Just like a Sionist country comes from, it is not Hebraism, Capitalism comes from, it is not Free Market. Hebraism and Free Market existed before 1946 Israel and the sixteenth century Dutch Ansa.
And I am telling you this, with utmost respect, as an Late Roman Empire/Early Middle Age Historian not only as a strongly religious person.

      1. Also, Capitalism IS a Free Market. You refer to the Dutch East India Trading Company, who have always been free to Investment, Collaboration, and Partnership. Bills of Lading, Insurance, and Sureties have been present before this Venerated Company was ever formed, and date back to the Middle Ages.

        What is your point exactly?

  4. That is enough! The bane of modern communications is text only messaging. With the absence of body language and verbal hints, we misinterpret what is written and heated arguments follow.

  5. The Bible is not ” incoherent Dario, and Mark is a complete Gentleman. The History of Judea, and the Isrealites is not ” Religious ” fiction either.

If you were a ” Historian ” specializing in Ancient Rome, you would know that. You would know that the Old Testament, King David, Solomon, and Herod, are annually proven by Archeology, and Archeological Reseachers.

I will now refer to Mark’s request, but you are exposed!

  6. Your summary of Australian/Commonwealth Service and Sacrifice, is right on the money Mark. Even Canada, suffered immense casualties due to British Command Incompetence. ( The annihilation of the RCR at Dieppe, and the Black Watch at Verreres Ridge ), immediately come to mind.

  7. And I still do. Mark, this song holds that many promises I cannot imagine what the next lot of journals (RoC), will hold, a box of tissues will be next to me. I have even played this song to my friends, some like it others looked at me as if I had lost my marbles but I don’t care what people think, I love what you have done to Rigmor and Wulf’s story. All I can say again is a bloody big thank you.

    1. Everything is changed. I am having to visit each town and city and wander around to ensure there are no crashes to desktop. Unfortunately there have been a few, so I have had to diagnose and change things. It seems stable now.
